1.  Jo Leath: Writer and Spiritual Seeker Jo Leath, originally from England, has been in the Maritimes since 1990. She has been involved with developing connexion to the Unseen since the mid-1970s when she attended training in Altered States of Consciousness; Strength Acknowledgment and Conscious Breathing through the Family Life Association in Nanaimo B.C.  Jo has been reading Numerology charts since the 1980s when the teachings of Dr. Juno Jordan introduced her to the discipline. 2.  Paul Gregory:  Paul has resided in the Maritimes since 1886. Quote: “At this time I am harvesting the fruits of a long spiritual journey which began about 20 years ago.  For the past three years I have had a strong calling to be a healer through ancient Shamanic Tradition.  I have attended many different Shamanic and meditation sharing/healing circles, workshops and drumming circles.  The Spirits are now asking that I begin to share the knowledge and wisdom that has helped heal my life to now help others on their healing journeys.”   Defination of Shaminism:  An ancient spiritual practice done by journeying to the beat of a drum or rattle to consciously visit a spiritual teacher in non-ordinary reality and to develop an intimate relationship with the teacher to obtain guidance to help heal others.  It may also include a combination of smudging, herbalism, crystals, movement (dance), chanting, singing, or animal energies/totems.  Join Paul in his meditation circles, drumming circles, and workshops.

3.  Monica Beaton:  Embracing the love and wisdom that comes from self-reflection (know thyself!), Monica has been sharing with others who are on their own spiritual paths since she was a young girl.  Originally from the Niagara Region of southern Ontario, Monica and her husband have made a home in South Tremont, NS where they have resided for the past five years.  Monica has been an avid, independent student of metaphysics for the past sixteen years.  She also studied at the International Academy of Natural Health Sciences in Ottawa, ON from 1996-1999 in the areas of Iridology, Bio-Energy & Nutrition, Anatomy & Physiology, Herbalism and Reiki.   She is offering private sessions in: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), nutritional counselling/herbal medicine, and reiki.  She will also be offering workshops on a variety of topics, check the website each month for new schedules!  Stop in the rock shop and pick up a flyer to learn more about these complementary healing modalities, Monica will be at the shop every Saturday to see clients and visit with whomever wanders in!

5.  Brenda Hogg (Nan):  Nan is my Mom whom I dearly love and so enjoy having her share in this Center that I have created.  Her and I partner in the Rock Shop.  She loves to talk her crystals, and is helpful in you understanding your crystal choices, with a touch of crystal therapy to go home with.  She offers a free agate crystal to everyone visiting us for the first time.  Agate being the crystal of brotherhood and generosity.  She loves to share our shop and offers an open invitation to see all we have collected.  Rock with Nan!

6.  Carol Layton:  I am the administrator of Nan’s Rock Shop and Spiritual Center.  I opened this Center in January 2003.  I had researched many spiritual subjects previous but my first official training was in Energy Balancing 2002 which then lead to Reflexology certification 2005 and  three levels of Reiki training completed 2006. I have participated in many workshops including pendulum studies, crystal therapies, chakra understanding, herb knowledge, intuitive/spiritual and further energy balancing modalities too many to mention.   I offer workshops/events, retreats, organize Nan’s Rock Shop and rent out space to holistic practitioners.  I enjoy this adventure of what I am creating and the so many people that I have the opportunity to share with.  Here is my place … I invite you to our shop and to participate in activities that attract you.

 

New Team Member: Melia Helson

 
I have been asking questions about the meaning of life for as long as I can remember. The sudden death of my sister in the 80’s startled me into asking more pointed questions, ongoing study and eventually to sharing my process, knowledge and skills with others. I found many wonderful people and organizations to study and work with and was certified as a Natural Health Counsellor (Reflexology), in Reiki 2 and Mari-el healing techniques, ministry, a Masters degree in Esoteric Psychology which includes Astrology and the Seven Rays, and most recently as a Facilitator for Access Consciousness in a clearing technique called The Bars.
Each of these paths have deepened my awareness of the vastness of our beingness and how we limit ourselves into believing we don’t have choices, when we really do. In addition to the Astrology of Beingness, I offer Shustah card readings and The Bars, a gentle way of touching points on the head to release the old dysfunctions we have taken on that limit us from the ease, joy and exuberant, abundant expression of who we really are. I plan to lead Solar Festival celebrations at the time of the full moons. I also intend to facilitate a class in Prosperity Consciousness, among other things, so stay tuned for more information. I am grateful for the opportunity to offer my services on Tuesdays through Nan’s Rock Shop & Spiritual Centre and will also be working from my home in Middleton. What would it take for each of us to shed what holds us back and to express every day the wonder and glory of being alive?

 

New Team Member: Lorette Stansbury,  Spiritual Reader

 Intuitive readings started for me at a young age.  I was always intuitive and coming from a family of 10, I was the different one.  At age 16, I saw my first “fortune teller “.  She told me then I had a gift.  She introduced me to the crystal ball and gave me advice and instruction to further develop and understand who I was and what I could be.  In my reading she saw alot of black and told me there would be a long period where I would shut down but it would all waken up for me later on in my life.  In my early twenties, my sister bought me tarot cards and I started doing readings for friends and family.  I continued to develop.  When my father passed away, I had the opportunity to witness his crossing over.  Through this experience  I  needed further guidance and understanding and I again went to see a spiritual reader.   This time it brought me a deeper level of clarity and helped me see that I was embarking on a journey….a life journey, and through spending much time with this reader, she helped me to deepen, understand and utilize the gift that I was born with.  From that day forward its been a very fulfilling time in my life even though there was heartache and loss.  She also introduced me to Nan’s Rock Shop which is where I found my first seeing stone ….and from there I have bought my crystal ball. The crystal ball connects me to visions and validations inorder to offer what I feel is hope.  HOPE = Helping Other Peoples Energy(Emotion).  This is my intent: to give back what was given to me:  hope, encouragement, self empowerment, validations. and guidance along the path.   

I  offer crystal ball / tarot readings here at Nan’s Rock Shop on Fridays 10am – 4pm.   Mini readings are $1.00 per minute, or $40.00 per full reading.  I look forward to meeting you.  May angels watch over all of you.
